On July 29, our Overseas Business Team visited Shohwatul Is'ad, an Islamic boarding school located in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, to exchange views on the development of a sustainable school meal model.

Drawing on our expertise and experience in food safety and hygiene management, nutritional management, and food education cultivated through our school meal operations in Japan, we proposed jointly developing a school meal model tailored to local needs and circumstances.

The school also expressed its appreciation for our previous proposal to improve its kitchen facilities and reported that improvements are currently underway.
During the latest discussions, Shohwatul Is'ad expressed its full willingness to cooperate in the joint development of the school lunch model. The school also indicated its intention to support the model's dissemination to other schools once it is completed.

Going forward, we will deepen our collaboration with Shohwatul Is'ad to develop a safe and sustainable school meal model suited to local conditions, with the aim of eventually expanding the initiative to other schools.

On July 31, we also visited the Consular Office of Japan in Makassar, which had introduced us to Shohwatul Is'ad. We reported toDr. Koichi Ohashi, Head of the Consular Office, on the initiatives we have been undertaking with the school and explained that Shohwatul Is'ad had expressed its willingness to cooperate in the joint development of a school meal model. We also shared information and exchanged views on future initiatives.
