“Trust”
Our Business Creed

TOYO FOODS Co., Ltd. CEOHideo Ogikubo

Toyo Foods was founded in October 1966, as a company that provides food services.
It has been 57 years since our founding, and we have a perfect track record with no occurrences of food poisoning, thanks to our motto of providing high quality food service. We are trusted and have made it this far today as a pioneer in the field of school lunches in Japan.
As the eras in Japan have changed over the past half century – from Showa, to Heisei, to Reiwa – the societal environment we are involved in has greatly changed. This includes issues such as the low birth rate and aging society, promotion of administrative and financial reforms for municipalities, chronic labor shortages, inflation, and diversification of needs.
On the other hand, the expectations regarding the supply of safe, secure, and delicious school lunches for children who are responsible for Japan’s future, can be said to be increasing more than ever before.
Our company’s management know-how, hygiene management that is expected to be perfect, and detailed support systems have received high praise from municipalities across Japan. Now we have become a leading company that has a track record for managing the largest school lunch center in Japan, as well as a track record for providing 1.39 million school lunches in one day.
Our company provides school lunches in all kinds of forms, from the school lunch center style to in school cooking style, so-called "Oya-ko style" (a kind of central kitchen style). In particular, we are devoted to diversification in recent years. Our outsourcing for school lunches does not stop at conventional frameworks such as cooking, delivery, and serving. We are also involved in tasks related to constructing school lunch centers based on the PFI / DBO format, including design, construction, financing, and self-operated projects. In order to meet these various needs in the future, we moved forward with advanced efforts utilizing our years of experience and have satisfied many customers.

In addition, we are also pouring our efforts into food education. School lunches lead to the mental and physical development of children. We recognized that these school lunches are living educational materials that bear part of the responsibility for education in schools.
Our role as a company that supports food is only going to be more important in the future, as we aim for the realization of a sustainable society. We contribute to local communities by distributing meals and providing support with supplies during disasters, cooperating with local events, and promoting local production for local consumption. We wish to implement CSR (corporate social responsibility).

Each municipality in Japan deals with a variety of issues in the field of school lunches.
Our company will continue to confront such issues and propose and implement optimal solutions for them. As long as there are issues to be solved in this field, our work will never truly end.

“Being involved with school lunches is assisting with creating the future of Japan.”

We will push forward in order to continue being a trustworthy partner for all our customers.

“Further improving customer satisfaction”

Our job is not merely to provide school lunches. Beyond that particular job, we also want to bring smiles to children, who are responsible for our future, and local residents. We support communities and society every day through providing our school lunches. We believe that is our mission.
Our company is building structures that customers can rely on during emergencies, for example measures in times of disaster or urgency and flexible systems for dispatching human resources. We do this by utilizing the strengths of our business that has widely expanded on a national scale. In addition, we have met the expansive needs of customers while utilizing our know-how that we have accumulated until now, including reducing food loss and environmental burden, and working to incorporate local cuisine into school lunches.
We will continue to fulfill our role as a partner that closely serves local communities.
